Welcome!
You have reached the web site of Iterative Listening, LLC. I expect 2009 to see a number of additions to the website. A couple new information products to be released, updates on the "Barriers of Faith" book, some free content. And of course additions to the "Iterations" blog.
In the meantime, however, don't hesitate to get in touch if I can help you with your listening problems. Just e-mail or give a call. Or if you'd prefer, use the form below. I look forward to serving you.

About the principal:
Wade Shilts has spent the last 30 years studying, teaching, and being a small businessperson. Along the way, he collected degrees in economics (Luther College and the University of Iowa), law (Washington University), and economic history (also Iowa).
He's managed a small town hardware store, practiced law, and, since 2007, been doing business as Iterative Listening, LLC.
In over two decades as a professional listener (i.e., teacher), Wade's classrooms have seen close to 2500 students. He's taught economics, history, law, and the humanities. He's listened to economics, history, and law with undergraduates at a major research university (Iowa), two liberal arts colleges (Central College, Luther College); and he's listened to the humanities with truck-drivers-in-training and non-traditional students at Kirkwood Community College. He's even spent a semester on-site listening with the employees of Iowa's only nuclear power plant.
Wade has published and presented dozens of papers, most of them on the economics of language and listening. He's observed hundreds of public presentations ranging from small academic conferences presenting preliminary work-in-progress to high-powered, multi-media conferences charging thousands of dollars per head. He's lost count of how many student papers he's read, but estimates the number passed 10,000 some time ago.
He believes in drawing lessons from wherever he can. Not to worry, though: he promises to bring up his passions for ancient Roman teachers of rhetoric and for novels of speculative fiction only when those passions will benefit you.
Wade’s free audio, “Teaching Skills for Copywriters,” can be downloaded from www.ListenMoreSellMore.com. Another, multiple-CD audio, “Selling the New: How Your Small Business Can More Effectively Market Its Innovation” will be available soon.
His e-book, Copywriting for the Small Business market: How to Find the 'Acres of Diamonds' in Your Own Back Yard, can be purchased by clicking here, then clicking through on the link to "Copywriting for the SOHO Market."
